Insect hotel

Insect hotel: This insect hotel will allow you to thank the insects and offer different species the opportunity to rest and spend the winter. It should not be forgotten that insects are very useful to our gardens, indeed, they act as a natural pesticide.
This insect shelter has several compartments:
above: bees love the shelters made in hollow wood.
The holes in the wood will provide ideal shelter for many species, each preferring a different diameter.
Some bees will prefer holes with a diameter of 3-7 mm, while the Hylaeus will prefer holes with a diameter of 2-4 mm.

in the middle: offers protection and shelter to green lacewings. lacewings will be attracted by the red colour of the door

To attract them, you can fill this compartment at the back with fine straws.
bottom: the small openings are suitable for ladybirds and earwigs (they eat aphids and other pests).

Choose a sunny place, protected from wind and rain, to install your insect hotel. Make sure that the entrance is easily visible to the insects.
